Materials Needed For Paper Towel Roll Craft:

  • Empty paper towel roll (tube)
  • Non-toxic, washable paint
  • scissors (for adult use only)
  • paper

Directions:

First, take a paper towel roll and cut the ends in any design you prefer. On this page, our examples include a sun shape, a flower shape, and a cloud shape.

Once you’ve made the cuts, fold the shape outward:

Now, pour some paint on a plate and let your child dip the paper towel roll design in paint thoroughly, then place the design firmly on paper. Wiggling the paper towel tube a little while placing it on the paper will make sure that all the areas of the design get transferred to the paper. With the sun and the flower shape, you can even use the other side of the paper towel roll to stamp a circle in the middle of your design.

These paper towel tube painters are perfect for making a picture, card, or a simple design on paper. You could even use them in our home-made wrapping paper craft idea.
