Looking for an easy Valentine craft? This little art project is simple, and allows toddlers and preschoolers to make beautiful heart Valentines Day cards and art! Scroll below for a list of materials needed, and step-by-step instructions with pictures!

Materials Needed For this Easy Valentine Craft:

You will need:

– Sponges (cut into heart shapes)

-Non-toxic, washable children’s paint in pink and red

– White construction paper, printer paper, or cardstock

How to Make This Easy Valentine’s Day Craft:

First, pour the paint onto a plate and rub the sponges around in the paint to coat their entire undersides with paint. If you would like the hearts to have a more water-color look, you can mix some water into the paint until you get the consistency you’re looking for.

Next, help your toddler or preschooler use the sponge to paint hearts all around the paper. If you are making a card, fold the paper in advance or turn the paper in the direction you want it facing.

Allow the sponge-painted hearts to dry and this easy craft is finished! Your child may want to make several because grandparents and relatives love these simple Valentines! Try full paper sheets, folded paper cards, and the watered-down paint versions!
